NSS CAMP - 2025

The Seven Day NSS Special Camp was organised at DAV Public School, Sector -3, Kurukshetra from 3 June 2025 to 9 June 2025. The Camp began with the registration of all participating volunteers.The inaugural session commenced with a Hawan ceremony, invoking auspicious beginnings under the guidance of a Vedic priest.

Dr. Meenakshi addressed the volunteers and gave an overview of the week-long activities planned for the camp. She also spoke on a very relevant topic—"why today’s youth are increasingly becoming disheartened."

Dr. Ashok Kumar delivered an enlightening lecture on the "Mission Drug-Free Haryana". He educated the youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encouraged them to spread awareness among their peers.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar eloquently explained the significance of Surya Namaskar, emphasizing its holistic benefits for the mind and body.

Dr. Manish Kukreja, explored yoga from A to Z—delving into its spiritual, mental, and physical dimensions. Dr. Kukreja captivated the audience not only with his deep knowledge but also with a soul-stirring flute performance. As the gentle notes of the bansuri filled the air, the entire atmosphere resonated with peace, harmony, and divine vibrations.

Mrs. Pooja Modgil, who delivered a highly insightful and detailed session on Cybercrime and the POCSO Act. Her articulate presentation shed light on sensitive yet crucial issues, raising awareness and encouraging proactive protection, especially for the youth.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar (Advocate), who empowered the students with practical techniques of self-defence. A vibrant environmental awareness rally was organized, spreading messages of sustainability and distributing saplings to the community.

Captain Gurmail Singh Ji, who conducted an informative and practical session on Fire Fighting Techniques. He educated the volunteers on responding to emergencies without panic, handling fire extinguishers, and rescuing individuals during smoke-filled fire incidents and Subedar Ravindra Kaushik Ji imparted invaluable knowledge on Road Safety and Traffic Rules.

Mrs. Priyanka conducted a highly engaging and insightful workshop on Financial Literacy and Digital Fraud Awareness. She skillfully guided the volunteers on essential life skills including leadership, resource utilization, teamwork, and how to strike a balance between personal and professional responsibilities.

An inspiring session on Skill Education was conducted by Mrs. Vanita Dhiman. She creatively guided the students in making planter pots using old jeans, T-shirts, and towels — turning waste materials into eco-friendly crafts. This hands-on activity beautifully emphasized the concept of “Best out of Waste” and sustainability.

Thus, the seven-day NSS camp came to a graceful conclusion — leaving behind a legacy of social service, self-discipline, skill enhancement, and unforgettable memories for every participant.
