AWARENESS PROGRAM ON 'CYBER CRIME'

The legal literacy club of DAV Public School, Sector 3, Kurukshetra organised an awareness program on 'Cyber Crime' on Thursday 8 August 2024.The officials of the cyber crime cell kurukshetra made the students and the staff of the school aware about the various cyber crimes like Cyber Frauds,Scams, Data Breaching,theft, forgery etc.The Cyber crime cell incharge Mr. Rajesh Kumar accompanied by Mr. Kashmir Singh and Mr. Mahender Singh from Cyber Crime Cell were the main speakers of the event.They made the children aware of the different scams and frauds that are being carried out through mobile and internet. Children were given a help line number 1930 on which the public can call and report such events within 24 hours. Also they informed that in case of delay in reporting the crime we can even go to the nearest Cyber Crime Police station and ask for help. However the most important thing is to avoid the two Ls which make a person the victim of these crimes. Children were also guided that any misuse of social media can lead to serious crimes and consequences so they should not take these things lightly and follow certain precautions like : Keeping the softwares updated, use authentic apps, using antivirus and strong passwords, avoiding clicking on unknown links and avoiding giving out personal information to any unknown person.
