SWAMI DAYANAND SARASWATI JAYANTI 
DAV Kurukshetra celebrated 200th Birth Anniversary on 14th February 2023.
In order to commemorate the 200th birthday of Swami Dayanand and to propagate his philosophy, DAV Public School, Kurukshetra, observed Dayanand Jayanti and Rishi Bodh Utsav on 14th Feburary, 2023. To mark the day, a special 11 Kundiya Vedic hawan was performed.
Forty messengers, disciples of Dayanand were selected from different classes. These messengers started the day by sharing the teachings with the principal and then students in the classrooms. A short inspirational film related to the Swami Dayanand’s life was also shown in the classrooms on smart boards.
On this occasion, students of class V chanted the mantras from the main stage and around 1100 students alongwith teachers participated in the hawan. Music Teacher Vikas Relhan sang the hymn 'Mastana Jogi' and everyone joined the celebrations.
Giving the message to the students to illuminate their lives by taking inspiration from the life of Swami Dayanand ji, Principal Smt. Geetika Jasuja said everyone should always contemplate the blessings of Swami Dayanand ji in their mind.
She added that the main objective of DAV Institute is to inculcate moral values in the students.
